In 2001, Steve Johnson took his extensive real estate experience gleaned over nearly 30 years and formed Sundance Development Group. The company's initial focus was looking for opportunities to address the need for affordable housing in locations that are steep in higher priced housng. This began with condo conversions in areas of California and Arizona, including scouting for viable properties, sales negotiations, the sensitive management of evacuation and promoting ownership opportunities for existing renters before and during the remodeling process, speedy and cost-conscience remodeling with high-quality yet affordable amenities, sales staffing and management, and advertising and marketing the project through sell-out. The company has since expanded its services to include all types of land acquisitions from whole management practices in both commercial and residential applications.

Headquartered in San Diego, California, with an additional office in Phoenix, Arizona, Sundance Development Group consists of a core group of people with substantial experience in all facets of real estate.
